YOUNGSTERS spent a week getting to grips with the workings of model trains and cars.
As part of annual courses run by Worthing and District Society of Models Engineers, they made a basic steam turbine as well as propeller-driven cars, which they then raced.
Rod Winterhalder, publicity officer for the group, said: “The courses went really well.
“They had a great time preparing and driving our model steam train watched by their families, too.”
