Arrangements of a number-one hit, a well-loved children’s hymn and a piece written to celebrate the millennium are among the music to be performed by the Boundstone Chorus at the event later this month.

The group will present Music for a Summer Evening in St Michael and All Angels Church, South Street, Lancing on June 21 at 7.30pm.

Mr Kerney said: “The chorus is presenting a very enjoyable and mixed programme for their summer concert.

“The programme includes a range of pieces, some that you will know and some that you will learn and grow to love.”

The 70-strong chorus, directed by Aedan Kerney MBE, will perform a range of music including the Westlife hit You Raise Me Up, Howard Goodall’s millennium setting of the hymn Love Divine and Eleanor Farjeon’s Morning Has Broken along with Hubert Parry’s My Soul There is a Country, excerpts from Stanford’s Songs of the Sea and arrangements of I Am a Small Part of the World and Goodnight Sweetheart.

The Boundstone Chorus was formed in 1982 and meets from 7.15am to 9.15pm on Wednesday evenings during term time at St Michael’s Church Hall, South Street, Lancing
