"Come and join us" invitation as school prepares to celebrate

STAFF and pupils at Pebsham Community Primary School this week issued an open invitation ex-pupils to take part in the school's anniversary party.

The school will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on Friday, January 11 and, via the Observer, this is the school community's way of issuing an open invitation to all past pupils to join the birthday party.

Headteacher Pat Strickson said this week: "We are trying to contact past pupils...Pebsham's first pupils who started either in the two mobile classrooms in Chantry grounds because the new building wasn't ready or who began on the 11th January 1978.

"We are going to invite them back to a party. They'll be given conducted tours of the school and the opportunity to meet their first headteacher Mr Platt.

"We'd really like to hear from them also re any memories of those early days at Pebsham. We are going to put a book together with photographs etc. for the pupils now.

"They can contact us on [email protected]"
