PUPILS at a Lancing academy were treated to a visit by a comedy children’s writer on Monday.
Mark Lowery, author of two books aimed at teenagers – Socks are not enough and Pants are everything – gave a talk to Year-7 pupils at the Sir Robert Woodard Academy.
Mark talked to the students about the important elements of writing a good story, including the main character, interesting events, and realistic scenarios that readers can relate to.
The author then held a question and answer session and signed copies of his books.
Learning resources centre manager Sue Waton said: “Mark’s presentation was a great success and the students loved his sense of humour.”
Mrs Waton said the books were very popular and were constantly being borrowed by students, adding that the presentation was enjoyed by staff and students alike.
