Community events set to join forces

TWO of Worthing’s biggest community events are joining forces this summer for the first time ever.

The Broadwater Carnival and Worthing Fire Station’s annual open day are teaming up for a bumper day of fun.

Taking place from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, July 18, on Broadwater Green, the event will include stalls, activities, arena events and displays.

Darren Wickings, organiser of the fire station open day, said: “This is a great opportunity for the fire station to work even closer with the local community and to continue to build on the success of both events, over previous years.

“As well as lots of fun for everyone, money is also raised to benefit local charities and The Firefighter’s Charity.”
