Concern for man discharged from Worthing Hospital

POLICE have said they are “concerned” for the welfare of a man who was discharged from Worthing Hospital earlier this month (March).

Michael Burtenshaw, 78, from Brighton, has not been seen since Tuesday, March 5.

PC Kevin Stephenson, from Brighton and Hove neighbourhood police team, said: “Michael is vulnerable due to his age and poor health. He was discharged from Worthing Hospital on March 5 but has not been seen at his Brighton home since then.

“Please call 101 quoting serial 702 of 13/3 if you see Michael. We need to get him the support and care he needs as soon as possible.”

Michael is described as white, 5ft 7in of slim build with short thinning grey hair and has blue eyes. He is usually clean shaven and speaks with a southern accent. He was last seen wearing a black raincoat and walks with a slight shuffle.
