Conmen target vulnerable at Tilling Green

Police issued a warning this week after receiving reports of a number of incidents.

Rye police sergeant Warren Downs said: “We are appealing to residents on the Tilling Green estate and the surrounding area not to employ persons to do home repairs, decorating and garden services .

“There have recently been several confirmed reports of persons offering such services with no background in the business.

“Once they befriend their targets they try squeeze as much cash or valuables as they can from their victims.”
