Could you help out Hospice in Rye?

Chris Jones, Head of Trading for the Hospice said: At present due to a shortage of volunteers, we are unable to open our shops for all the hours we need, resulting in lost income for the Hospice.

“St Michael’s Hospice portfolio of ten shops across Hastings and Rother , which includes two shops in Rye, raises a considerable amount of money towards the Hospice running costs which currently stand at £5 million a year.

“We will also be opening two more shops in the next few months in St Leonard’s and Bexhill.

“We are looking for anyone who has some spare time that they can give to

St Michael’s to work a morning or afternoon shift, ensuring that the shops are open throughout the week to maximise trading opportunities.

“Our shops are an important source of income for the Hospice and we desperately need volunteers to help in Rye and in all our other shops across Hastings and Rother.

“The income generated through our shops goes a long way to support vital Hospice services that we are able to offer our patients and their families each year. This would not be possible without the help and support of our volunteers. 

“I can say to potential volunteers that we organise convenient shifts to suit individual needs and working in our new shops in Rye along with our other volunteers will be interesting and fun.”
