Couple who reported their car stolen realise it was ‘misplaced’
OWNERS who reported a car stolen were left red in the face – when they told police they had in fact accidentally ‘misplaced’ their vehicle.
The blue Volkswagen Golf was initially thought to have been taken from an address in Gloucester Road, on February 8.
However, police revealed that soon after the report was filed, the owners called the force back, admitting that the car had been misplaced and found in Barnham.
