Course helps to highlight Shoreham’s rare habitat

A COURSE running on Shoreham Beach on Saturday will be helping to raise awareness of this rare and important coastal habitat.

The course, run by the Sussex Wildlife Trust, includes a guided walk around the Shoreham Beach Local Nature Reserve, which is a valued vegetated shingle habitat.

Course tutor and local naturalist Stephen Savage said: “Shoreham Beach is a spectacular example of this habitat. Over 90 plant species have been recorded on the beach, which in turn support a wealth of wildlife.”
