Crane fire in Lancing

A MOBILE crane caught fire inside a wood recycling plant in Lancing.

The fire happened at around 7pm last night, Wednesday, October 28, at a building in the Lancing Business Park on Marlborough Road.

Fire crews from Lancing, Worthing and Bognor attended and used foam to isolate the crane fire and thermal imaging cameras were then used to make sure it was extinguished.

West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service confirmed the fire had been started accidentally and left the scene at 8.33pm.
