CRASH VICTIMS GETTING BETTER

THE five survivors of a horror car crash on the A27 near Firle, in which an eight-year-old girl was killed, are all stable in hospital or have been released to go home.

The collision happened between a westbound Renault and a Vauxhall Astra being driven in the opposite direction at 3.15pm on April 15.

There was torrential rain at the time.

The girl, Demi Hunt from Luton, was killed and the five others were taken to the Eastbourne District General Hospital and the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

This week a traffic police spokesman said the driver of the Renault had now been released from hospital.

The driver's girlfriend had also been released.

The father of the girl who died had been transferred to a hospital in Luton where he was stable.

The driver's son, aged six, was stable in St Thomas' Hospital for children in London.

The woman driver of the Vauxhall was stable in the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
