Appeal after Southwick hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run in Southwick.

At about 9pm on Monday (January 25), a red van collided with a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction in Kingston Lane, at the junction of the A259, causing extensive damage and airbag deployment, according to Sussex Police.

The offending vehicle, which failed to stop, was travelling west and turned north up Kingston Lane when the incident occurred.

As a result of the impact, the van’s offside wheels were punctured.

The vehicle is described as a red box van with a roof rack and ladders. It also had sign writing along the sides.

No injuries are reported to have occurred.

Anyone who saw the collision, or who noticed the van being driven before or afterwards, is asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 1465 of 25/01.
