Armed robbery at Ladbrokes in Worthing

A man walked into a Worthing betting shop armed with a knife on Tuesday (October 2)

The robbery happened at Ladbrokes, in Rowlands Road, at 5.40pm. The man demanded money from the cashier and left with a number of notes.

He was wearing gloves and a balaclava, a grey hooded top, grey or white tracksuit bottoms and a white trainers.

DS Colin O’Hare said: “Detectives and officers are continuing with investigations. This was distressing for the staff in the shop and thankfully no-one was injured during the incident. Anyone who saw the man before he went into the betting shop or after he left heading west along Rowlands Road is asked to contact police on 101 quoting serial 1181 of 2/10.”
