Hundreds of pounds worth of equipment is believed to have been stolen as a result of the break-ins at the Barrack Hall Park Allotments site in Belle Hill in Bexhill Old Town, resident Simon Fellows said.
He added his shed was one of those broken into during the night last Monday (April 8).
The incident has since been reported to the police, who are appealing for information.
Simon said: “We had 20 sheds broken into on Monday night and have had the police up here. General garden equipment and other tools have been taken.”
A similar incident happened two days later in Watermill Lane, Bexhill at around 4pm last Wednesday (April 10), police have confirmed.
A number of thefts and criminal damage occurred at a community allotment site there.
A police spokesperson said: “Sussex Police is aware of break-ins at allotments in Watermill Lane and at Barrack Hall Park in Bexhill in recent days.
“Officers are investigating and speaking with victims affected by the thefts, and there will be increased patrols to provide reassurance.
“Anyone with information about the incidents, including CCTV footage, is asked to report it to Sussex Police online or on 101. The crime reference for the thefts reported at Barrack Hall Park please use serial 318 of 09/04, for Watermill Lane please use serial 961 of 10/04.
