BREAKING NEWS: Police discover body in Littlehampton

A BODY has been discovered in Littlehampton, this afternoon (Tuesday, July 17).

Police responded to a call that a body had washed up near Rope Walk, shortly after 4pm, today.

Details surrounding the discovery remain slim and the identity of the person has yet to be released.

A spokesman for Sussex Police confirmed that a body had been discovered, and that police attended the scene.

He also said that the force was looking into the circumstances surrounding the death but that he was unable to speculate about the incident at this stage.
