POLICE officers are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 64-year-old woman who has gone missing from her Shoreham home.
Wendy Dane was last seen at her home in Downsway, Shoreham, at approximately 6pm last night and it is thought that she left the property sometime between 6pm and 7.45am this morning (Tuesday, December 6).
Wendy suffers from dementia and is probably not dressed appropriately for the current cold weather.
She is white, approximately 5ft 4in tall, with short, straight, grey hair, brown eyes and of slim build.
It is believed she may be wearing a pink short-sleeved V-neck T-shirt, navy blue jeans and blue canvas deck shoes. She may also have a lilac leather jacket with her.
Sergeant Nick Edwards, from Adur and Worthing Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are concerned for Wendy’s welfare and officers are extensively searching the area.
“The police helicopter is also assisting us with the search from the air.
“Due to her medical condition Wendy may be confused and could have left the Shoreham area.
“We would ask people to take a look at the photograph of Wendy and let us know if they see her.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 232 of 6/12.
