Asa McBride, 38, of Timor House, Withyham Avenue, Saltdean, was given a community order with Drug Rehabilitation Requirement and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting stealing food and drink worth £486 from Tesco Extra, Shoreham, on January 17, 2020; and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour with intent, causing harassment, alarm or distress at the Holmbush Centre, Shoreham, on Janaury 17, 2020. He must pay £200 compensation.

James Armstrong, 31, of Fullers Walk, Littlehampton, was given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months with Building Better Relationships Programme Requirement and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting harassment without violence, making unwanted contact via phone, text and in person in Bognor Regis between February 13 and 25, 2020; and assault by beating at The Hatters Inn, Bognor Regis, on February 22, 2020. He was also given a restraining order and must pay £125 compensation for the assault, £122 victim surcharge.

Daniella Anastassjades, 32, of Eriswell Road, Worthing, was fined £350 and must pay £70 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (81mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood) in Broadwater Road, Worthing, on December 24, 2019. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months. She was also fined £350 after admitting possessing 11g of cannabis, a class B drug, in Worthing on December 24, 2019.

Gareth Ford, 49, of Montpelier Gardens, Washington, was fined £80 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (164ug/l morphine) in Offington Lane, Worthing, on December 14, 2019. He was also fined £80 after admitting drug-driving (800ug/l benzoylecgonine) in Offington Lane, Worthing, on December 14, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Christopher Markandoo, 42, of Limbrick Lane, Worthing, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £21 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Goring on February 20, 2020. The court found the offence was racially aggravated.

Edward Mills, 26, of Rowlands Road, Worthing, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 39 hours’ unpaid work after admitting possessing a joint of cannabis, a class B drug, in Worthing on March 13, 2020. He must pay £90 victim surcharge. He also admitted breaching a community order and was dealt with for the original offences, receiving a new community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 39 hours’ unpaid work for possessing cannabis in Worthing on April 10, 2019, and possessing 1.8g of cannabis in New Road, Durrington, on January 5, 2020.

Ashley Starling, 31, of Victoria Road, Plymouth, was fined £120 and must pay £50 compensation, £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Tarring on December 22, 2019. The court found the offence was racially aggravated.

Michaela Bridgewater, 23, of Charlotte House, Macklin Road, Bognor Regis, was fined £250 and must pay £50 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting assaulting an emergency worker, a police constable, in Worthing on November 5, 2019. She was also fined £250 after admitting drink-driving (63mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Flansham Lane, Bognor Regis, on November 5, 2019. She was disqualified from driving for 20 months. She also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Worthing on November 5, 2019, no separate penalty.

Eimear Bruce, 34, of Connaught Avenue, Shoreham, was fined £350 and must pay £35 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drink-driving (110mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood) in Buckingham Road, Shoreham, on February 8, 2020. She was disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Trevor Chambers, 37, of Calvert Road, Effingham, was fined £120 and must pay £34 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis when required at Worthing Hospital on May 21, 2020. He was disqualified from driving for 24 months.

Mitica Strungareanu, 30, of Salvington Road, Worthing, was fined £660 and must pay £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after being found guilty under the single justice procedure of failing to identify a driver when required by police in Shoreham on November 20, 2019. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Daniel Townsend, 30, of Pembury Road, Worthing, was fined £80 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting possessing 1.5g of cocaine, a class A drug, in Pembury Road, Worthing, on March 5, 2020. He also admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Pembury Road, Worthing, on March 5, 2020, no separate penalty.

Samuel Heard, 31, of Tamarisk Close, Bognor Regis, was given a 17-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, with Drug Rehabilitation Requirement and must pay £85 costs after admitting possessing a 9cm bladed knife in London Road, Bognor Regis, without good reason on July 27, 2019. He was given a four-week concurrent prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and must pay £122 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting stealing a lawnmower from Wickes, Bognor Regis, on August 25, 2019. He was given a four-week concurrent prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and must pay £165 compensation, after admitting stealing a petrol strimmer worth £165 from Wickes, Bognor Regis, on August 24, 2019.

Samuel Heard, 31, of Tarring Road, Worthing, was given a two-week concurrent prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, with Drug Rehabilitation Requirement and must pay £85 costs, after admitting resisting a police constable in the execution of her duty in Bognor Regis on March 4, 2020.
