Residents in Horsham are being given a chance to raise questions and concerns about policing in the town at a special meeting next month.

Horsham MP Jeremy Quin is holding an open meeting on November 10 for residents to meet the new Horsham Town Police Team.

He said: “I know anti-social behaviour in the town centre has been a real concern to local residents. I was pleased when our local Inspector established the new Horsham Town Police Team which gives the town centre its own dedicated police presence and focus.

“Overall, Horsham remains a relatively safe place to live but it is important that the town centre has policing resources in place to tackle issues and to ensure everyone in our town feels safe.”

Present at the meeting will be Inspector Neil Durkan who established the Horsham police team. He said: “The officers in the Horsham Town Police Team are already having an impact on anti-social behaviour in the town centre but I am really keen for local residents to meet the officers and get to know both them and myself.

“We are looking forward to attending the meeting and speaking directly to local residents.”

The meeting will be held on Friday November 10 at 6pm at a town centre venue. For more details and to reserve a seat visit: https://www.jeremyquin.com/meet-horsham-town-team-open-meeting.

Organisers say that spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

The meeting follows residents’ concerns that Jeremy Quin shared with Sussex Chief Constable Jo Shiner back in July.
