Intruders break-in and damage Eastbourne school

Police said The Causeway School, off Larkspur Drive, was broken into overnight on Friday (July 17).

CCTV footage has been passed to officers.

Sussex Police has reported three other burglaries or attempted burglaries in the town.

An attempted burglary happened on the weekend of the July 17-20 at Cornfield Law LLP, in Cornfield Road, with suspects causing damage to the doors, said police.

Officers said a mountain bike was stolen from a property off Upperton Gardens overnight on Saturday (July 18) after a locked shed was forced open.

Police said an attempted burglary took place on Wednesday (July 22) at a property off Rockhurst Drive, where suspects caused damage to doors but were unable to gain entry.

Victims of a burglary have been asked by police to report online, or by calling 101 – and to always dial 999 in an emergency/burglary in action.
