Large group of travellers set up camp on Adur Recreation Ground in Shoreham

A large number of travellers have arrived at Adur Recreation Ground in Shoreham.

The group of 20 caravans parked on the fields off Brighton Road on Wednesday evening and have remained there for the duration.

A spoksman for West Sussex County Council said the group had been served with notices to vacate the land and council officers were working with Sussex Police and Adur District Council, which owns the land, to move the group on.
