Littlehampton man attacked in his home by two burglars

Police are investigating a violent burglary in Littlehampton in which two men entered a home and attacked the occupant.

According to Sussex Police, officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a house in Southfields Road yesterday (February 11) at 7.30pm.

Two men entered the property, assaulted a male occupant – who was treated in hospital for head and foot injuries – and threatened others.

One suspect is described as white British, over 6ft tall, of skinny build and wearing a dark hoody. He was carrying a metal pole.

The second suspect is described as white British, about 5ft 10in tall, with fair, curly hair and wielding a knife. Both were wearing snoods.

A Volkswagen Passat car may have been involved, in which the attackers left the area.

The investigation is ongoing and the motivation for this incident is currently unknown.
