His defence counsel, Adrian Butt, said his client denied all the offences, a point confirmed by Holder from the dock as he entered a not guilty plea.

Chairman of the bench, Martin Tomlinson, released Holder on bail on the condition that he must live and sleep at his home address in Empress Close.

Holder was ordered to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on December 21 for trial.
