Man arrested on suspicion of arson

Sussex Police arrested a charged a man with two counts of arson after a recent fire in Worthing.

Sussex Police confirmed that at about 11.35pm on Tuesday (November 15), they were called by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to a report of a fire in Augusta Place, Worthing.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Officers attended and a suspect was identified at the scene.

“Reginald Talmey, 31, unemployed, of North Road, Brighton, was arrested and charged with two counts of arson (setting fire to a wheelie bin) in Augusta Place, Worthing, on November 4 and November 15.

“He is due to appear before Worthing Magistrates’ Court on December 6.”
