Man attacked with hammer and knuckleduster in Worthing

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s was assaulted in Worthing.

The victim was leaving an address in the locality when the assault took place at 8pm in Mill Road on Sunday, April 30, a spokesperson said.

The victim was attacked by a man reportedly armed with a hammer and knuckleduster, according to police.

“He was fortunate to receive only minor injuries,” a spokesperson said.

A 24-year-old man from Worthing, was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and has since been released under investigation, police confirmed.
