Man due in court in connection with Worthing knifepoint robbery

A MAN is due in court this morning (Tuesday, May 22) in connection with a knifepoint robbery.

Paul Bousell, 23, of the Woolsey Hotel, Brighton Road, Worthing, is charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article in relation to the robbery of a Worthing shop. He is due to appear at Worthing magistrates’ Court in custody, having been remanded after his arrest.

Three other men have been arrested for robbery and bailed pending further police enquires.

Police said the arrests follow the knifepoint robbery at the Londis store in Brighton Road, Worthing, at 5.25pm on Sunday (May 20).

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the incident at the store or anyone running away from Brighton Road into Selden Road, Worthing, to contact them on 101.
