A man suffered facial injuries after a robbery at an Eastbourne home.

Police were called to Jasmine Close, off Sorrel Drive, at about 10.45am on Thursday (July 16).

Sussex Police said officers attended and discovered a man with facial injuries, who was treated by paramedics.

He reported being attacked by four people, who he says stole cash from his wallet, according to police.

A 55-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on conditional bail until August 13, said police.

Enquiries are ongoing, police say, and anyone with any information about the incident can report it online or call 101, quoting serial 474 of 16/07.
