More than £20,000 stolen from Shoreham Post Office

Sussex Police are appealing for information after two hooded men broke into Brunswick Road Post Office in Shoreham on Friday (January 22) and stole £22,000 along with 3,000 Euros.

Two men are believed to have broken in at around 5.25pm and one of them threatened a member of staff with a crowbar.

One is described as white, 5ft 8in of slim build with stubble and was wearing a balaclava, blue padded jacket and black tracksuit bottoms with pink underwear.

The other suspect was also wearing a balaclava, a dark jacket with grey sleeves and was carrying a hi-vis satchel.

Nobody was injured.

Detective Sergeant Alex Lowe said: “We are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area and who saw something suspicious.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting Operation Kimono.”
