MOTORCYCLES worth up to £14,000 have been stolen after a garage at a house in Findon was burgled.

A Harley Davidson Night Rod Special and a Yamaha RD350 were taken from a garage in School Hill, Findon, between Thursday, May 17, and Monday, May 21.

The Harley Davidson, registration HX57 CGG, and the Yamaha, registration VMX1 35Y, are worth between £6,000 and £7,000 each.

Detective Constable Andy Hobden said: “We believe it is highly likely that a transporting vehicle of some kind would have been used to out the motor bikes on, possibly some kind of load loader or a flat bed.

“The offenders would have had to go past neighbouring houses to get away and therefore probably would not have risked starting up a motorbike, especially a Harley Davidson, due to the noise.”

DC Andy Hobden said it was likely the motorbikes were “wheeled” to another vehicle.

He added: “If anyone saw two motorcycles on the back of such a vehicle around the Findon or A24 area, between these dates, or any other suspicious activity, please contact us on 101 quoting serial 1236 of 21/5.”
