Murder accused appears in court

The man charged with Worthing grandfather Don Lock's murder appeared at Lewes Crown Court this morning.

Matthew Daley, 34, of St Elmo Road, Worthing, is accused of murdering the 79-year-old on the A24 at Findon in July last year.

Justice Jeremy Stuart-Smith agreed to requests by Philip Bennettes, prosecuting, for the case to be adjourned until April, with a likely trial start date of May 3, and for the accused’s custody to be extended until May 6.
