POLICE are still appealing for witnesses to a brutal mugging which left a 70-year-old Worthing woman with shocking injuries.

The pensioner, who appeared on the front page of the Worthing Herald on July 7, was left with a broken arm and needing stitches to her face after a mugger attacked her from behind on Lyndhurst Road at around 9.30pm on June 20.

She was found confused and covered in blood by Charlotte Anstiss, of Selden Road, who was driving in Lyndhurst Road at the time.

The Worthing Herald is offering £500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the vicious attack.
