Teen arrested after mass brawl at Worthing station

A TEENAGER was arrested after police were called to deal with a group fighting using metal poles and garden spades.

It happened in Railway Approach, outside Worthing railway station, just after midnight on Friday (April, 6).

PC Emma Lacey, of Sussex Police, said: “This was a large scale disturbance involving a group of youths, many of whom were carrying weapons.

“Fortunately, no-one was reported to be injured during the incident.

“If anyone saw what happened and can assist police with their enquiries, we would ask them to call us on 101, quoting reference number 0015 of 6 April.”

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, and was released on bail May 4.
