Teenager arrested after Worthing man’s death

A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing the death of a man in Worthing yesterday (Wednesday, December 29).

Police were called to a house in Valencia Road, just before midnight, after a 49-year-old man, who lived there, had received a head injury and collapsed.

He died at the scene while being treated by paramedics.

At 2am today (Thursday, December 30) police officers arrested a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, at a different address in Worthing.

Detective Inspector Phil Mays of Sussex Police Major Crime Branch said: “We are treating this as a suspicious death and making detailed enquiries to establish the exact circumstances in which the man died.”
