Teenagers in court over Worthing supermarket crash

THREE teenagers are due in court tomorrow (Thursday, January 12) after a car crashed into Sainsbury’s at Lyons Farm, Worthing.

A 17-year-old boy is charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving without a licence and insurance, having an accident and failing to report an accident on December 10.

A 15-year-old boy is charged with allowed himself to be carried in a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Another 15-year-old boy is charged with allowing himself to be carried in a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, stealing two fruit and vegetable crates from Lancing on October 28 and assaulting a police community support officer on November 1.

The three, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are due at Worthing Youth Court.

They were arrested after a car crashed through the entrance foyer at Sainsbury’s, Lyons Farm, at 1.15am on Saturday, December 10.
