Thieves steal VW Golf worth £34,000

Police are looking for thieves who broke into a house before stealing a high-perfomance car.

The raiders broke into a home in Marlowe Road, Broadwater, Worthing, during the early hours of Tuesday, July 5.

They took keys which were then used to steal a white Volkswagen Golf RS hatchback – registration GU14 CWK – worth £34,000, from the drive.

Police said the vehicle made off at speed and was last seen travelling east along the A27 towards Southwick.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Marlowe Road area around 1am on Tuesday or who noticed the VW being driven east is asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 45 of 05/07. Alternatively people can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
