Three arrested after haul of property recovered

Sussex Police has arrested three people after recovering a haul of property in Worthing.

Police said they recovered house keys, Peugeot and Ford car keys, ‘Next Base’ car DVD players and a quantity of jewellery consisting of various small items with hand written price tags in ‘Bella Real Silver 925’ boxes including bracelets, clips and two brooches.

Two men aged 23 and 45, and a boy aged 15, were arrested in Hastings Road, Worthing, shortly after 9pm on Sunday January 29.

The 23-year old was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle, possessing a knife, and possession of cannabis, according to police.

Police said the 45-year old and 15-year old were arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted theft from a motor vehicle.

After being interviewed they were all released on police bail until March 5 while enquiries continue.

PC Greg Brown said: “We want to know if anyone has recently had such items taken from them in the Worthing area, perhaps in and around Goring-by-Sea.
