Timeline of Lancing man murder probe

Sussex Police are currently on the scene at Brooklands Park in Worthing after they received a tip off that the body of a Lancing man could be found there.

Mark Manning, 54, of Brighton Road, disappeared last April and has not been seen or heard from since.

The police are now treating the case as a murder investigation.

April 19, 2014: Mark was last seen at Worthing railway station by a friend, who said he had been going somewhere to buy a car he had found on online auction site eBay,

April 22, 2014: Mark was reported missing to the police.

June 13, 2014: Forensics officers searched his home and garage, but found nothing.

April 28, 2015: Police receive anonymous tip off that the body of Mark could be found around Brooklands Pleasure Park. Victim recovery dogs scour the site and fire and rescue wade through the lake.
