Two arrested after Worthing assault

Two people have been arrested after a teenager was assaulted in Worthing yesterday (March 15).

Sussex Police said officers received a reporter of a 15-year-old boy being attacked by two young people on The Strand shortly before 5.30pm.

The victim was found at the scene with a minor hand injury, police said, but a search of the scene found no trace of the suspects.

Enquiries led police to arrest two boys, aged 14 and 16, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. They are both in custody.
