Two men charged after fight in Worthing street

Two men have been charged in connection with a fight in Worthing last week, police have confirmed.

Police received reports of an assault at around 11.10pm on Thursday (May 11) in Brighton Road, Worthing.

A fight had taken place between three men and another man, a spokesperson said.

A 35-year-old man had received minor facial injuries.

Lee Roddis, 31, unemployed, of Brighton Road, has been charged with threats to kill and assault by beating, police confirmed.

Alexis Poupard, 33, a demolition worker of Brooks Close, has been charged with threats to kill, assault by beating, criminal damage and racially aggravated provocation of violence by words, the spokesperson said.

They both appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (May 13).

Both men will next appear at Lewes Crown Court on Monday, June 12, according to the spokesperson.
