UPDATE: Staff member threatened at Worthing electrical store robbery

A MAN has been arrested in connection with a robbery earlier today (December 13) at Curry’s electrical store in Lyons Park, Worthing.

A 19-year-old man from Reigate, Surrey, was arrested this afternoon by Surrey Police on suspicion of failing to stop and burglary.

At around 9.30am this morning, a shop assistant at the electrical store was threatened by three young men with a piece of wood, after she challenged them for grabbing items from the window display.

The three men, said to be in their late teens or early 20s, made off with an iPad and two laptops.

The suspects are described as white, each covering their faces. The first suspect was wearing a blue Adidas hoody, the second a black Superdry coat, and the third a dark coloured coat.
