Witness appeal after man in his 60s is assaulted in Littlehampton town centre

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his late 60s was assaulted by a younger man in Littlehampton town centre.

The incident occurred between 12.20pm and 12.45pm on Thursday July 21, close to the mini-roundabout at the junction between Arundel Road and Terminus Road.

The victim, who was on foot, was left shaken but otherwise unhurt after being struck in the face. His assailant was driving a black Renault car.

A 25-year-old man from Wick, Littlehampton, has been reported for summons for the offence of common assault.
