Police are appealing for witnesses to a man who stole two ski jackets worth £370 from a shop in Worthing.
The man in his 40s, who is white, of slim build and around 6ft, and has white hair, went into the Trespass store in Montague Street just after 1pm on Sunday (November 27), police said.
He was wearing a black jacket and gloves and carrying a rucksack, police confirmed.
The man picked out a number of jackets including a medium size Icon DLX ski jacket in blue with mottled grey shoulders and a black Wallis DLX SoftShell jacket with blue zips.
A spokesperson from Sussex Police said he took them into a changing room and emerged a short time later, making straight for the door where he set off a security alarm.
Staff tried to chase the man, but he disappeared into a busy crowd of shoppers with the garments.
Witnesses with any information are asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 101 quoting serial 365 of 27/11.
Alternatively, people can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-uk.org).
