Woman with young son robbed of her iPhone in Worthing

A WOMAN has been robbed while walking down the road with her young son.

The robbery took place at the seating area at the side of the Morrisons store in Newland Road, Worthing, at 6.30pm on Saturday.

The man made off with her Apple iPhone, after approaching the woman from behind, placed his hand on her shoulder and said “purse”.

The suspect is described as white, 5’ 9”, of medium build, wearing green gloves, a dark hoody and dark jogging bottoms.
