Worthing company director charged after armed police drug raids
One man has been charged and two more released under investigation after armed police carried out drugs raids in Worthing last week.
On Thursday (November 26), Sussex Police searched seven addresses and ten vehicles, arresting three men in the process.
Jordan Lee Moore, 38, a company director of Whitebeam Road in Durrington, was charged with two offences of unlawfully possessing an air weapon.
He appeared at Worthing Magistrates Court on November 28, police said, and was remanded in custody for trial, with an initial hearing at Lewes Crown Court on January 8, 2021.
A 17-year-old boy was also arrested in Whitebeam Road on suspicion of possession of cannabis and was released under investigation.
A 19-year-old man arrested in Salvington Road on suspicion of being involved in the production of cannabis, possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon, was also released under investigation.
The arrests are part of an ongoing operation cracking down on the supply of drugs in the town and across Sussex.
Cannabis plants were found at a residential address in Chesham Close in February and, on November 11, more plants were found at an address in Peacehaven.
The investigation by the West Sussex Community Investigation Team continues.
