Worthing man arrested for possession of an offensive weapon

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place in Worthing.

A police spokesman said the 29-year-old was taken into custody in Offington Avenue earlier today (October 8).

He remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing, said police.
