Williamson is white, about 5ft 7in, stocky, and speaks with a north east accent. He targets homes during the daytime and is believed to use public transport. He targets jewellery, and has also been known to ingratiate himself with elderly or vulnerable people in order to stay at their premises and then steal from them.

Detective Sergeant David Osland of Sussex CID said; “In Sussex we want to interview Williamson about at least seven burglaries, in Worthing, Lancing, Brighton, Hove, Seaford and Eastbourne, and there are several others which may be linked to him in the same areas, all in the last three months of 2011.

“Officers in Dorset, Kent, Norfolk, Nottinghamshire and Lancashire also want to talk to him about burglaries in those areas. We are working with those forces and others across the country to track him down and hope the Crimewatch appeal will bring forward information.
