A DEACONESS has celebrated her 100th birthday at a Worthing care home.
Louise Muller, known as Louie, was born on July 1, 1912, and lived with her mother in Wimbledon.
She became a ladies maid, and for several years attended the Keswick Convention as a camp orderly, which is where she became a Christian.
At age 83, her bad knees meant she could no longer live alone, and she conceded she would have to move into a care home. She eventually ended up at Koinonia in Winchester Road, Worthing, where she still lives today.
