Death of man in Worthing hotel remains ‘unexplained’

A WOMAN has been arrested after a man died at a hotel in Worthing in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, July 29).

Police were called to the Chatsworth Hotel, The Steyne, at around 4.15am today following a report that a man had collapsed in a room.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Paramedics were already present but efforts to revive the 58-year-old man were sadly unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The circumstances of his death are currently being treated as unexplained.

“The coroner has been informed.”

A 31-year-old woman has been arrested for a drugs related offence.
