Defeat for UKIP as major housing plans are approved

MAJOR plans governing the future of housing in Adur were approved after a heated debate last night.

Adur Council’s UKIP-led opposition tried twice to amend the Adur Local Plan, which identifies where 3.500 homes could be built in the district over the next 17 years.

Twice they were defeated by 19 votes to seven.
