Delay in plans for signalbox at Barnham
Network Rail and railway enthusiasts were to have joined together today Saturday (September 12) to transfer the wooden structure along the B2133 to its new home in Aldingbourne.
But the complexity of the operation means Network Rail's engineers want more time to plan the delicate lift and shift.

The signalbox was made redundant last November when Network Rail brought in digital signals around Barnham, run from a new signalling centre.
Original plans to scrap the 1911 signalbox were abandoned after a campaign by rail enthusiasts.
Its new home will be at the Olivers Meadow site of the Aldingbourne Sports and Community Centre where it will replace the current buildings used by Bognor Regis Model Railway Club.
